Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron Sean was President and founder of DogRiley a computer security company focused on helping small and mid sized businesses securely harness the power of the Internet. Before this he was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers responsible for US field office data center operations.
Representative examples of Sean's engagement experience include:
Managed large system deployments across heterogeneous environments. The largest of these comprised of over 3 000 pieces of equipment supporting 50 000 client computers/users in 150 locations. Ensured proactive monitoring response and reporting on this environment via commercial and custom tools. Managed staff of 65 technicians in 13 regional areas.
Provide design configuration procurement and deployment services for networks and software systems. This work included needs analysis product evaluations and recommendations.
Designed and developed custom Web based applications incorporating multimedia delivery and focused on securely delivering dynamic content to the web from information stored in central databases. Analysis of client data structures and security of corporate information systems where handled while allowing for easy update and maintenance methodologies by non technical staff.
Managed secure hosting environment for website email backup and DNS services. This allowed for updates patches and customized configurations speedy troubleshooting and reduction in client costs.
Deployment of open sourced applications for clients some involving customization of applications to support additional functionality. As part of E-commerce deployments developed customized payment gateway interfaces based on client needs and payment processor's API.
Managed large software implementations and technology refreshes of the PwC distributed environment. Responsible for all aspects including planning budgeting tracking and reporting.
Designed and programmed internal systems at PwC which replaced commercial software saving the firm over $1 million in software costs. Focused monitoring and reporting on infrastructure health provided 99.98% uptime for field equipment.
