| Experience 
 As a litigation Associate Mr. Smith focuses his practice almost exclusively on Worker's Compensation Defense while also performing general insurance defense work. Mr. Smith's practice involves all facets of workers' compensation defense and general insurance defense. Mr. Smith litigates frequently before the Worker's Compensation Commission, and has conducted jury trials in several Maryland jurisdictions. Prior to joining Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, Mr. Smith was a litigation associate in the southern New Jersey law firm of Youngblood, Corcoran, Lafferty, Hyberg & Waldman primarily practicing insurance defense litigation and Workers' Compensation defense work. Prior to that, Mr. Smith worked briefly with The Law Offices of Robin Kay Lord, Esq. practicing criminal defense litigation. Mr. Smith's legal career began as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Thomas P. Kelly, J.S.C. of the Superior Court of New Jersey. Mr Smith has been with Semmes, Bowen & Semmes for approximately two years.
