Scott Kraynak has over 12 years experience as a practitioner and consultant in the areas of strategic sourcing, sales contract strategy & petrochemicals. Scott is a Director, responsible for delivering and managing client projects and engagements for Synaptic Decisions. Previous to joining Synaptic Decisions, Scott was a Commodity Team Leader responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for $600 MM in annual asphalt purchases. Scott established innovative contract structures with several refiners, drove over $30MM in annual savings and implemented a non-linear supply optimization program across 17 asphalt facilities. Prior to Owens Corning, Scott was a Strategic Sourcing Consultant for Pantellos, where he led multiple sourcing engagements resulting in between 5% and 40% TCO savings and developed a strategic sourcing plan for a large public utility. Formerly, Scott was a Far East Sales Coordinator for Kellogg Brown & Root where he developed contract / pricing strategies for proposals ranging from Engineering Studies to full lump sum EPC bids on LNG Liquefaction facilities. Scott has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Rice University. Scott has passed all three levels of the CFA exam. |
