Scott is responsible for performance of increased memberships, provider contracting and government and community relations.
Scott was named to his current position in 2004. He served as senior vice president of operations for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah from 1999 to 2004.
Scott chairs the Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah community board, and serves on subsidiaries HealthWise (as board chairman) and Regence Life and Health (as a board member). He also chairs the Regence Caring Foundation for Children and the Work Force of the Future, and sits on the Regence Medicare Compliance subcommittee.
Scott earned a bachelor's degree (cum laude) in industrial psychology from Michigan State University and a master's degree in hospital administration from the University of Michigan.
