Scott F. Hartman is a co-founder, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of NovaStar Financial, and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1996. His primary responsibilities are to interact with the capital markets and oversee the portfolio of investments and the securitization of mortgage loan production. Mr. Hartman served from February 1995 to June 1996 as Executive Vice President of Dynex. His responsibilities while at Dynex included managing a $4 billion investment portfolio, overseeing the securitization of mortgage loans originated through Dynex’s mortgage operation and the administration of the securities issued by Dynex. |
