Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Scott’s forensic investigations include root cause analysis of structural, civil, and building envelope failures for single-family and multi-family buildings accomplished through field observations and building envelope performance testing (including stucco, stone, brick, sidings, sealants, windows, roofing materials, etc.), as well as mathematical engineering analysis and computer modeling. He investigates structural, civil, and other construction defect claims for clients including attorneys, insurance companies, homeowners, property management companies, building owners, developers and general contractors. Scott’s background includes structural design and analysis of bridges, custom homes and additions, commercial buildings, steel buildings and enclosures, retaining walls, and architectural monuments. He also has vast experience in the design, manufacturing and specification of electrical products, project management, and sales. Scott is highly involved in NSPE and Professional Engineers of Colorado (PEC) and has been the treasurer for the local chapter of PEC since 2005.
