Scott M. Wood is the Co-Chief Operating Officer of American Independence Corporation; and Chief Operating Office of Independence American Insurance Company. In addition, Mr. Wood is Co-Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Independence Holding Company (NYSE: IHC).
Mr. Wood holds leadership roles in many of IHC’s operating companies. He serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Insurers Administrative Corporation; as Chief Executive Officer of GroupLink, Inc.; and Chief Executive Officer of Health Plan Administrators, Inc. In addition, Scott is Senior Vice President of Standard Security Life Insurance Company of New York; Senior Vice President of Madison National Life Insurance Company, Inc. Mr. Wood also serves as Co-Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Independence Holding Company (IHC), CEO and President, Insurers Administrative Corporation (IAC).
Scott has developed and managed health plans since 1982. Scott has extensive knowledge and experience in individual and small-group major-medical insurance including the areas of underwriting, claims, program management, compliance and strategic planning. In addition, he is a member of many leading health insurance marketing and administrative associations.
Prior to joining AMIC and IHC, Scott served as Chief Operating Officer of Insurers Administrative Corporation. He holds a business degree from Arizona State University. |
