Scott Sattler is a manager with Shepard Schwartz & Harris LLP. His clientele is largely comprised of real estate developers and managers, construction contractors, manufacturers and not-for-profit organizations. He has significant experience in the areas of accounting, auditing, taxation, and business consulting, including:Performing financial audits, reviews and compilations. Providing due diligence and consulting for mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of companies and their assets. Researching and preparing tax memorandums on tax laws in order to assist clients with complex tax issues, such as partnership and asset allocations, technical terminations, and choice of entity issues. Consulting as corporate controller for various companies, including facilitating software conversions and updates, and reviewing payroll procedures, insurance, benefits, intercompany charge-backs between entities, fees and commissions. Analyzing and evaluating clients’ accounting, operating and internal control procedures as well as preparing management improvement recommendations outlining potential solutions. Assisting closely held companies and individuals with financial matters including tax planning and cash flow analysis for prospective investments.In addition to his accounting and business advisory work, Mr. Sattler is active in the firm’s continuing professional education program, speaking on a variety of tax research and planning as well as software use topics.Mr. Sattler joined the firm in 2000 after working with one of the large public accounting firms. |
