Experience:Scott has practiced as a certified public accountant since 1991. Scott heads all financial accounting services for the Government Contractor Services Group of the firm. In addition, Scott has obtained a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from the George Washington University. As a result, he has experience in the following areas of practice: Development of required financial auditing procedures on organizations including accounting for various types of contracts with numerous agencies of the federal government, Analysis and evaluation of job costing systems and contract compliance for various government contracting institutions, Performance of the following procedures on government contracting engagements , Analysis of indirect rate structures and optimization , Cost allowability and allocability, Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards compliance ,Internal control efficiency and effectiveness, Profit enhancement, Scott also has experience in identification of accounting deficiencies regarding application of technical accounting procedures and reporting disclosure requirements under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Scott was recently recognized by Virginia Business Magazine as one of Virginia’s Super CPAs for 2006 in the category of Auditing and by SmartCEO as a Smart CPA in 2005 & 2006.
