Scott provides financial consulting services in numerous areas including product profitability, business unit divestiture, post acquisition disputes, transfer pricing, utility deregulation filings, tax related litigation, and insurance claims.
Scott's experiences include large project management, detailed fact gathering and data analysis, interviewing skills, accounting process mapping, documentation skills, and financial analysis. Scott's work regularly includes summarizing and analyzing large volumes of data for use in expert reports, testimony, as well as in connection with companies in the process of restating financial statements.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron Consulting Group, Scott was a Manager in the Financial and Economic Consulting group at Arthur Andersen LLP.
Scott has worked in several accounting and financial analyst positions at Ameritech, including Senior Accountant and Manager of Financial Analysis. His experience includes monthly and year-end accounting close process, retail accounting, implementing accounting procedure and controls, capital budgeting, creating annual operating plan, multiple department budget coordination, monthly legal entity financial reporting, and treasury cash management.
Scott also supervised auditing, due diligence and forensic investigation engagements in industries such as biotech, medical equipment manufacturing, construction, metal fabrication, and plastics while at Friedman, Eisenstein, Raemer & Schwartz (FERS) LLP. Due diligence engagements included royalty audits on behalf of university licensors, collateral monitoring on behalf of lenders and reviews of target companies on behalf of an acquiring company. Other specialized services included internal control reviews, investigations pursuant to contractual provisions, and financial analysis and projections used in the business valuation process.
