Mr. Mercer has been a Director since June 2007. He brings over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, most recently as Interim Chief Executive Officer from May 2005 to November 2005 at Adaptec, a provider of data storage solutions. He also held senior management and chief financial officer positions at Western Digital, Teralogic, Businessland, and LSI Logic and operating and financial roles at Dell Computer. In addition to SMART, Mr. Mercer serves on the boards of Adaptec, Conexant, and Palm. Mr. Mercer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Mr. Mercer serves as a member of our Audit Committee and Compensation Committee. |
