Scott represents community banks and bank holding companies in connection with: Branch purchases Stock purchases Holding-company formations Issuance of trust-preferred securities Capital raising New-bank charters and charter conversions Relocations Mergers Branch formations Corporate restructuring Regulatory issues He has also represented federal savings banks and industrial loan and thrifts. In the lending area, Scott has experience representing lenders and borrowers in commercial-credit transactions, receivables securitizations, lease transactions, bank-stock loans and perfection and priority issues under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
