Saul Berkowitz, CPA, is a Partner in Goldstein Golub Kessler LLP. Mr. Berkowitz has been practicing accounting for over 38 years and was a partner at Clarence Rainess & Company before he joined the firm in 1978. Mr. Berkowitz services clients in both the public and private sectors, covering a wide range of industries. His clients are in both the wholesale and retail areas with a particular emphasis on the textile and apparel industry. He has expertise in workouts and insolvencies and has testified as an expert witness in bankruptcy and federal courts in both New York and New Jersey. With his past experience in the technical audit area, he spends a significant amount of time advising clients on the financial and operational planning needs of their businesses. He is a frequent lecturer on topics directly related to the profession before the National Association of Credit Managers, the Commercial Finance Association, the New York and the New Jersey State Societies of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York Institute of Credit. He is an active member of many professional and community groups, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York and the New Jersey State Societies of Certified Public Accountants. He is a former chairman of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants' Committee on Cooperation with Commercial Credit Grantors. He is a past chairman of the board of directors of the New York Credit and Financial Management Association. Mr. Berkowitz received his B.S. degree from Syracuse University. |
