Born in 1941, Satoshi Yokota is graduated in Electronic Engineering from ITA - Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (Aeronautical Institute of Technology). He started his career in 1965 as an Avionics Research Engineer at CTA - Centro Técnico Aeroespacial, Brazilian Air Command Research Center.
From 1967 to 1970, he was an Engineer at Paraense Transportes Aéreos, a regional airline with headquarters in Belém, Pará. In the same period, he was an Electronics Professor at the School of Engineering of the State of Pará Federal University.
Satoshi Yokota joined Embraer in 1970, and he was, successively, an Avionics/Electrical/AFCS Engineer and Section Head; Manager of the Test Division; ERJ 145 Program Manager; Director of Embraer Programs, with responsibilities for the ERJ 145 Regional Jet Program; Executive Vice President, Development and Industry, responsible for Engineering, Production, Procurement and Programs, when he was responsible for the launch of the Legacy business jet and the EMBRAER 170/190 family of jets.
In April 2005, Satoshi Yokota was appointed to the current position as Executive Vice President, Engineering and Development, where he is supporting the entry of Embraer in the very light business jet (VLJ) market with the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets. |
