Satjiv Chahil is a 30-year veteran of the information technology publishing and multimedia industries. He currently is senior vice president of marketing for the PSG at HP. Immediately prior to HP Chahil was an advisor to the chairman at Palm a board member of PalmSource and chairman of Mobile Digital Media a Palm spin-off. Chahil was chief marketing officer and interim chief operating officer at Palm roles in which he built Palm's global brand and helped to establish the new category of mobile computing. Prior to Palm Chahil spent three years at Sony where he played a key role in bringing digital convergence technologies and products to market in the United States and Japan. Before Sony Chahil spent nine years at Apple as the global marketing chief and general manager of the new media entertainment and Internet division. He has also held various positions in general management strategy finance and sales at IBM and Xerox. Chahil has a master's degree from Thunderbird The Garvin School of International Management and also holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Punjab University in Chandigarh India. |
