Ms. Shmulevitz focuses her practice on bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters. She has significant experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, trustees and committees in Chapters 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases, class action lawsuits, trademark infringement claims and arbitration proceedings. Her diverse client base includes real estate companies, supermarket chains, steel producers, restaurant groups, brokerage firms and auto parts manufacturers.
Ms. Shmulevitz is fluent in Hebrew and Polish.

o Representing the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the restructuring of Fedders North America, Inc., a manufacturer of air treatment products with total assets of approximately $186.3 million
o Representing an ad hoc committee of hedge funds in the restructuring of Falcon Products, Inc.
o Represented one of the largest private U.S. businesses as primary restructuring counsel
o Defended a group of communication companies in large adversary proceeding involving the constructive trust and earmarking defenses to preferential transfers
o Represented a real estate company, as judgment creditor, in objecting to a debtor's discharge
o Represented a guarantor in its 11th Circuit appeal concerning the reservation of rights, letters of credits and the damages cap under Section 502 of the Bankruptcy Code
o Defended a supermarket chain in an avoidance action concerning an assumption by one of its subsidiaries of a cross-collateralization agreement and guaranty
