Experience:
Sarah Byrt, a partner in the London office of Mayer Brown has more than two decades of experience in intellectual property and information technology law, having joined the firm in 1986 and being named a partner in 1995. She works extensively with clients in such varied businesses as chemicals, food products and professional services, where IP rights and technology are vital business assets.
Sarah's practice focuses on the IP and IT aspects of mergers, acquisitions, licences, JVs and other transactions. She also has a particular interest in advertising and publishing law, in which she has handled matters ranging from rebranding programs to sponsorships and from libel disputes to author contracts.
Chambers UK 2007 ranks Sarah as a Leading Individual, saying that she "displays a dedication to the market" and possesses the ability to remain "tranquil in tense circumstances." Previous Chambers evaluations echo the high regard in which Sarah's clients hold her.
