Sarah M. House is a paralegal in the firm’s intellectual property group. Sarah specializes in trademark matters, including worldwide trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement. She also has experience with domain name maintenance and disputes, copyright filings and research, and due diligence projects regarding intellectual property assets. Sarah’s experience and responsibilities include: Managing national and international trademark portfolios, including filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and communications with foreign counsel, for clients in the retail, financial, restaurant, non-profit and franchise sectors Corresponding with clients regarding general trademark inquiries, deadlines and enforcement matters Performing worldwide trademark, copyright and domain name searching at attorney and client requestAssisting with trademark enforcement matters, including filings with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, investigations regarding use of marks, and general research Overseeing trademark and domain name enforcement files for Fortune 500 company Sarah joined the firm in 2004 and is resident in the Minneapolis office. Prior to joining Faegre & Benson, she was an in-house paralegal at a national insurance company, working in the Corporate Secretarial and Intellectual Property groups. Prior to that, she worked as a paralegal in an intellectual property boutique law firm, in the areas of patent and trademark prosecution, specializing in foreign companies filing patent and trademark applications in the United States. Sarah has worked in the intellectual property field since 1997.
