Ms. Smith's practice focuses on general litigation matters. While in law school, she served externships with Judge Ronald Guzman, of the Northern District of Illinois, Justice Patrick Quinn of the Illinois Appellate Court and with the Illinois Attorney General.
Ms. Smith received CALI Awards in Legal Writing, Nonprofit Organizations, Civil Procedure and Jurisprudence, and she was Managing Editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Smith taught biology, life science and algebra in the Compton Unified School District.
