Ms. Watkins has enjoyed a lifelong career with Sandy Spring Bank. Starting as a Teller in 1974, she advanced through various positions in management including retail, consumer and mortgage lending, strategic planning, and marketing. Ms. Watkins was promoted to the executive level in 1998. She currently manages the Corporate Services Group which includes marketing, human resources, facilities, and information security. In addition, she manages the Information Services Group comprised of information technology, deposit operations, strategic project management, and information reporting. Ms. Watkins holds a BA from Hood College. She has completed ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and Harvard Business School's Strategic Human Resource Management program. She is the Chair of the ABA Marketing Council, and a member of the faculty of ABA's Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Ms. Watkins is also active in the community and Chairs the Board of Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, Maryland. |
