Sanjeeb Chaudhuri is the Regional CEO for Central and Eastern Europe for the Global Consumer Group (GCG) and Chief Marketing Officer for GCG - Europe, Middle East and Africa. Sanjeeb is a member of the Supervisory Board of Bank Handlowy, one of the largest banks in the Polish market listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He is also a member of the Citi Management Committee, the Global Consumer Planning Group, and the Citi Global Advertising Council.
His prior Citibank assignments have been CEO of the Consumer business at Bank Handlowy, Poland; Head of Sales and Distribution, GCG - EMEA; Head of Retail Banking - EMEA; Country Business Manager for Citibank in Hungary, UK/Ireland, CitiGold International; and Managing Director, Diners Club UK and Ireland.
Before that, Sanjeeb was Cards and Banking Business Manager at Citibank India. Sanjeeb has been Chairman of the Internet Operating Committee for EMEA and has represented the Western Europe Consumer businesses on the Global Cross Marketing Operating Committee. He has also been Marketing, Internet and Business Development Director for Citibank's businesses in Europe. Sanjeeb has been Chairman of MasterCard International's South Asia Marketing Committee for 7 years.
Sanjeeb joined the bank more than 17 years ago as Marketing Director, Bankcards and Diners Club in India. The Cards business he launched and developed in India is now internationally one of Citigroup's largest. Sanjeeb also developed a very successful Citigold program for the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia (CEEMEA) markets of Citi. Sanjeeb has been Chairman of the Human Resources Committee for Citi's Credit Cards Council in Asia-Pacific and CEEMEA markets. He has been a member of the British Banking Association's Retail Committee and is currently a member of the Lafferty Global Branch Banking Roundtable.
Prior to joining Citi, Sanjeeb worked in Sales, Marketing, and General Management positions of increasing seniority at Procter and Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, and Unilever. At the time of joining Citi, he was Senior General Manager for Unilever's Food and Beverage businesses.
Sanjeeb is a Science Honours graduate and holds an MBA with a specialisation in Marketing. He also holds an Advanced Management Program (AMP) diploma. He has also been a visiting faculty member at Wharton Business School and Imperial College.
