Sanjay Khosla, 55, joined Kraft in 2007 as Executive Vice President and President, Kraft International Commercial. In this role, Khosla is responsible for leading the company's $11 billion business outside of North America.
Most recently, Khosla was with Fonterra Co-operative Group, a multinational dairy company based in New Zealand. At Fonterra, Khosla served as Managing Director of the company's $3 billion consumer and foodservice business. While in that position, he implemented a long-term strategy that resulted in improved sales and profits of the company's brands around the world. Fonterra products are sold in 40 countries.
Before joining Fonterra in 2004, Khosla spent 27 years with Unilever in India, London and Europe. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Global Beverages and Chairman of Unilever's $4 billion beverages category. Khosla also managed Unilever's beverages and culinary businesses in Central Asia and the Middle East.
Khosla graduated with honors in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. In 1998, he completed the Harvard University Advanced Management Program. That same year, he was named "Marketing Superstar" by the prominent marketing industry publication, Advertising Age.
Khosla serves on the board of directors of NIIT, a global information technology education company based in India. He is a member of the University of Auckland Business School Advisory Board. He has taught courses on managing international brands and business at Columbia University in New York, and at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. |
