Besides his primary responsibilities in Marketing, Sanjay also chairs the Power.org technical subcommittees on High-Speed Packet Switching Interconnects and Disruptive Solutions. He brings a broad-based experience as an entrepreneur and business/R&D leader in a number of networking, wireless, consumer electronics, semiconductor, and infrastructure software companies. Prior to joining Teak, Sanjay had co-founded Celunite (now Azingo), a leading provider of Linux-based open mobile platform solutions, had served as its VP Marketing & Product Development, and now continues to be actively engaged in its growth in an advisory capacity. Previously Sanjay was a founding team member and VP of Marketing & Business Development at Merlin Systems, which was acquired by Redback Networks. Previously Sanjay had served as Sr. Director & GM at Motorola where he was responsible for managing and growing a $350M mobile communications business. Sanjay is credited with contributing to the development of a number of successful products chief of which include the world's first wide-area mobile Direct Connect communications system, a converged 2.5G/WLAN indoor base station, the i1000 mobile handset, and the MC68HC16 chipset. Sanjay holds an MBA with High Distinction and MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a BS with Highest Honors in Electronics and Communications Engineering from NIT-K, India. Sanjay is also a graduate of the Executive Management Program in Marketing and M&A from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Sanjay is published, holds multiple patents, and has been a frequent speaker at various national-level industry conferences and trade shows. Outside of his engagement with Teak, Sanjay is passionate about working with entrepreneurs and continues to be an active investor/advisor to startups in areas of wireless, networking, and infrastructure software. |
