Mr. Chakrabarty is a Founder and Director of MobiApps. Mr. Chakrabarty founded MobiApps, and was the Chief Executive Officer of MobiApps from inception till February, 2007. He has since transitioned his executive leadership role, and currently is a Board member of MobiApps, and a Board member of TMT (Joint Venture between MobiApps and TATA Auto Components Ltd). He has extensive experience in the Telecommunications Industry, with specific focus in the mobile space across the world.Mr. Chakrabarty has worked with global leaders in the fixed line, undersea cable, wireless equipment, mobile operations and semiconductor space on strategic, operational restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, market entry and licensing issues. His work experience has spanned North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Prior to founding MobiApps®, Mr. Chakrabarty was a senior member of the global management consulting firm Arthur D Little (ADL), specializing in the Telecommunications, Information, Media & Electronics (TIME) practice area based in Washington DC.Mr. Chakrabarty has dual BS degrees in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University System, an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), and has completed advanced graduate work in RF engineering and networking at CMU’s Information Network Institute. He is a U.S. citizen, and currently resides in Singapore. |
