Mr. Lambert joined Ray Quinney & Nebeker in September 2007 as a member of the Tax, Trusts & Estate Planning Section. Mr. Lambert has experience analyzing and litigating complex tax and other legal issues. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lambert served in the U.S. Department of Justice as Counsel to the Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Tax Division, who oversees all tax settlements and appellate tax litigation in the Department of Justice. Also, as a member of the Appellate Section of the Tax Division, Mr. Lambert successfully handled and argued cases involving a wide variety of taxes and taxpayers in courts across the country, including the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th ,10th, 11th, and Federal Circuits. He has handled cases that originated in the U.S. Tax Court, the Court of Federal Claims, and federal District and Bankruptcy courts. Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Mr. Lambert served as a law clerk to Judge Amalya Kearse on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. Lambert uses his broad-ranging experience to help clients achieve favorable outcomes in controversies with the I.R.S. or the Department of Justice. His background also gives him unique tools to assist taxpayers, whether they are individuals, partnerships, non-profits, companies, or corporations, to plan for the future in a way that minimizes the risk of expensive litigation.
