Sammy Cantrell is responsible for information technology groups, including application services, programming services, deployment. Application services is responsible for application support for all general financial, billing, physician portal, scheduling, practice management, home health, long term care, and dme software. Programming services is responsible for in-house software development and business intelligence software projects; and deployment is responsible for software deployment to all new acquisitions.
Sammy has 30 years of healthcare IT experience. Previously, he served as Regional Installation and Support Manager for McKesson, Outsourcing Manager with Perot Systems, CIO for a 586-bed Tenet facility in Birmingham, and Senior IT Manager for IASIS Healthcare. He has extensive consulting experience ranging from international healthcare efforts in Germany, Holland, England, and Scotland, to assisting HealthSouth in their divestiture of the $2.5b ambulatory surgery group.
