Mr. Patel joined FlowMedica August 2002 during the initial formation of the company. He has held a variety of positions in manufacturing, research and product development, quality assurance, sales support and product marketing in the medical device industry. Mr. Patel joined FlowMedica following his position within the Carotid/Peripheral and Endovascular Solutions Division at Guidant Corp. At Guidant, he faciliated product development of the first-generation peripheral stent and balloon delivery systems, including the RX Acculink Carotid system, the first FDA-approved carotid system. Mr. Patel brings his manufacturing expertise from Guidant and Medtronic, where he was in manufacturing of their peripheral and coronary balloons. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego and an M.B.A. from San Jose State University |
