Sameh Fahmy was appointed to the position of Senior Vice-President, Engineering, Mechanical and Supply Management, in June 2006. In this role, he has network-wide responsibility for CN’s Engineering, Mechanical, Supply Management and Vehicle Fleet Management functions.
Mr. Fahmy first joined CN in 1981 as manager, Technical Systems Support. He had previous railroad experience having worked at Amtrak and the Association of American Railroads. Prior to that, he worked for IBM from 1973 to 1977. He returned to CN in 1994 after having pursued other career interests between 1985 and 1994 with the Travelers Insurance Company and La confédération des caisses populaires et d'économie Desjardins. |
