Mr. Berns joined NorthMarq Capital in October 2006 when NorthMarq acquired the mortgage banking firm of First Monroe, Inc., which he helped found in 1986. He is currently Senior Vice President and Managing Director for NorthMarq’s Rochester New York Regional Office where he is responsible for the loan production, equity placements and commercial real estate sales activities. Mr. Berns has over 20 years experience in commercial real estate in the upstate New York and Pennsylvania markets. He is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology where he received a BS in Accounting with a minor in Finance; and, he is a New York State licensed real estate broker and a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association. |
