On July 1, 2004, Sal Litrico became President of TECO Transport. Prior to that, Litrico was Vice President of TECO Ocean Shipping, having joined that company in January 1994.
Previously, Litrico was employed by Maritrans, Inc. as Vice President of Operations & Maintenance. Before that, he sailed aboard merchant vessels for five years and has a current Master’s license. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business at the New York State University Merchant Marine Academy (Fort Schuyler).
Litrico has served or is presently serving in the following organizations:
Board of Directors of American Waterways Operators, Southern Region
Appointed Member by Secretary of Transportation to TSAC (Towing & Safety Advisory Council)
Chairman, Tampa Bay Harbor Safety Committee (VITS)
Chairman, International Transportation Task Force
Serves on U.S. Coast Guard's Mid-America Regional Quality
Safety Committee
Member of Tampa Propeller Club since 1984
Member of Seaport Sertoma
1997 Chairman of TECO Energy, Inc.'s United Way Campaign (achieved first million dollar campaign)
