Sabrina Perel is general counsel of Kroll. In this role, she oversees all legal activities for the firm.
Assisted by in-house regional and divisional counsel, Sabrina has responsibility for legal matters ranging from corporate matters such as client engagements, licensing and acquisitions to litigation matters, including insurance related issues. In addition, she works closely with the heads of Operations, Finance, Risk Management and Human Resources on compliance, governance, employment and other matters.
Sabrina, who joined Kroll Inc. in October 1996 as deputy general counsel, was appointed vice president and deputy general counsel in January 1998 and assumed her current position in August 2001. At the time, Kroll was a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ exchange. She played a significant role in the divestiture of Kroll Inc.’s armored car manufacturing business and a number of Kroll’s major acquisitions, including the June 2002 acquisition of ONTRACK Data International, Inc. and the September 2002 acquisition of Zolfo Cooper LLC. She also served as corporate secretary from August 2001 until July 2004 when Kroll was acquired by MMC. Sabrina has continued as executive vice president and general counsel since Kroll was acquired.
Prior to joining Kroll, Sabrina had a nine-year career in the litigation department of New Jersey law firm Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti, where she concentrated on commercial litigation and trusts and estates litigation. From 1987 to 1988, she clerked for the Honorable James M. Havey of the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.
Sabrina attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she received a B.A. degree cum laude and a J.D. degree.
