Ruthann Yamanaka is Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Planning for Outrigger Enterprises Group.
Through her position, Ms. Yamanaka serves over 3,000 Outrigger employees system-wide and spearheads Outrigger's ongoing efforts in organizational development, talent management, and enhancing employee satisfaction.
Before joining Outrigger, Ms. Yamanaka was Vice President of Human Resources at Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of the People Services Group for Hawaiian Airlines. She spent 16 years with Bank of Hawaii in a variety of areas that included internal communications, sales support, corporate culture, quality and customer service, and served as Senior Vice President and Assistant Director of Human Resources during her final three years with the company. Her professional experience also includes five years in health care with the Waimanalo Children & Youth Project and the Headstart Program.
Ms. Yamanaka has worked in the community as chair of the board of the Girl Scout Council of Hawaii, and past President of the Junior League of Honolulu and the Guild for Child & Family Services.
Ms. Yamanaka earned her master's degree in public health from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and her bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Southern California. |
