Russ has provided valuation and consulting services for a variety of purposes including joint venture analysis financial statement reporting tax planning mergers and acquisitions financial due diligence and strategic planning.
His clients include the Fortune 500 privately held and venture-backed companies government agencies and not-for-profit entities. Russ has specialized industry experience including medical devices biotechnology healthcare shipping and logistics high technology (hardware software and Internet) and telecommunications.
Representative examples of Russ' engagement experience include:
Performed valuation analysis for transaction sizes ranging from under $1M to over $3B.
Extensive financial reporting valuation experience (FAS 141 142 144 etc.) - including project leader for purchase price allocation of $3B merger between two telecommunications companies.
Valuation of 15 worldwide subsidiaries of multi-national company for corporate reorganization and tax planning (entity sizes ranged from <$1M to $125M in revenues).
Common preferred options & warrants valuation for tax and financial reporting purposes (most recently for IRC 409A and FAS 123R purposes)
Lease transactions - including underlying asset valuations (vessels airplanes machinery & equipment) and future value estimates.
Assisted the Office of the Attorney General of Oregon and the District of Columbia with their due diligence procedures and valuation analysis of not-for-profit health care facilities to be acquired by for profit entities.
