Mr. Gentner graduated from Skyline High School, Salt Lake City, UT in 1973. He attended the University of Utah and received his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in 1977. In 1990, Mr. Gentner earned a masters in business administration (MBA) from the University of Utah, at which time he was the Dean's Scholar. Mr. Gentner was Assistant Chief Engineer for KSL Radio in Salt Lake City from 1976 to 1980. He formed Gentner Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: GTNR) in 1981 and served as Chairman, President and CEO until December 1997. Mr. Gentner co-founded Listen Technologies Corporation in July of 1998. Mr. Gentner has served several terms on the board of governors for the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA); currently serves on the board of the University of Utah Broadcast Council and on the board of Community Wireless of Park City, Utah. He is a former member of the Great Western Thrift board of directors. He enjoys skiing, golfing, scuba diving and traveling. |
