As one of the WellCare's original founders, Mr. Shah brings an unmatched knowledge of the Florida provider and government programs market. Mr. Shah currently serves as WellCare’s Senior Vice President, Market Expansion. In this role, Mr. Shah has helped WellCare expand into 8 states as a Medicaid plan and 6 states, representing 50 counties, as a Medicare plan.
Mr. Shah has held management positions in the healthcare industry since 1991. During the years that he and the other founders built the company, Mr. Shah established many of the company's provider contracts and managed a significant portion of the operations as WellCare grew into the state's largest Medicaid health plan. Mr. Shah received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Business Application from St. Xavier's College, Gujarat University in India, and received his MBA from the University of South Florida. |
