Ruben Butvilofsky serves as President of Nextel Argentina providing strategic leadership to the company since August 2005. Under his stewardship, Nextel Argentina has gained a solid position in the market. In 2006, the company was included in a prestigious ranking by Clarin newspaper, the most important in the country, which lists companies on criteria such as financial stability, creativity, strategic vision, and customer service. Nextel Argentina was also recognized by The Great Place to Work Institute in the top ten list, received Silver recognition in the Ibero-American Quality Awards for outstanding overall quality, and was ranked in Apertura magazine as one of the Companies with the Best Image in the country. He has been with Nextel Argentina since 1998, when he joined the company as Vice President of Commercial Operations.
Butvilofsky has vast commercial and general management experience and has held positions at well-known companies in national and international markets in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining Nextel Argentina, he was the Sales Director of Liberty ART, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual, in their Argentina operations. Previously, he was a Direct Sales Manager for Bellsouth (Movicom) and an Indirect Channel Manager for IBM Argentina.
He is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and has furthered his education in various institutions throughout the United States.
