As Executive Vice President of The Western Union Company's Payment Services division, Royal Cole has overall profit and loss responsibility for the company's Consumer and Commercial Bill Payment services, Retail Money Orders and Prepaid Services. In addition, Cole oversees Western Union's Agent Network Management group (ANM), which directly manages Western Union's extensive Agent network throughout the United States. Cole is based in Englewood, Colo., at Western Union's global headquarters.
Prior to his current appointment, Cole headed the company's North American Distribution and Agent Network Management organization. This role included oversight of Agent locations and alternative channels responsible for the sales and distribution of the company's portfolio of Retail Consumer and Commercial Money Transfer products and Retail Money Orders. Since joining Western Union in 1991, he has held positions of at the regional management level in the U. S. and was Senior Vice President of ValueLink, a leading provider of Stored Value solutions to retailers.
Cole joined Western Union after having held progressively more responsible sales and sales management positions with the Pepsi Cola Company.
Cole has a Bachelor of Science degree from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
