Mr. Oaks, a Certified Public Accountant, has diversified professional experience with a variety of industries particularly automotive dealerships and related industries. He frequently consults on business matters with such closely held businesses and their owners. His experience includes eleven years with the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent and Appeals Officer. While with the Service, he performed tax examinations of many companies including automobile and truck dealerships.While in public practice, Mr. Oaks has worked with automotive clients providing primarily federal and state tax services including annual tax compliance, tax planning, IRS representation and litigation assistance. Mr. Oaks speaks to dealer groups on tax issues as well as conducts continuing professional education for accounting professionals sponsored by the firm and professional groups.Mr. Oaks has been the Tennessee Automotive Association’s CPA for ten years and frequently represents the TAA and member dealers with the IRS and Tennessee Department of Revenue. He also meets quarterly with the trustees of the Tennessee Automotive Association Self Insured Trust. |
