Roy Sorensen became the Vice President-Chief Financial Officer of Cost-U-Less in September 1999. Previously, Mr. Sorensen served as CFO and Treasurer of Drug Emporium NW. In this capacity, he played a key role in successfully negotiating the sale of the company in July 1998 to Longs Drugs, a $3.1 billion regional retailer.
Mr. Sorensen has held various executive financial positions with other companies in the Pacific Northwest, including Seattle Lighting Fixture Co., Egghead Software, and Seafirst Corporation. Mr. Sorensen holds a CPA license, and received his MBA from the University of Puget Sound. Mr. Sorensen was promoted to Vice President/Chief Operating Officer in August 2000. |
