Ross Martinson is a General Partner and Chief Financial Officer for Edison Venture Fund in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Ross is a successful financial and administrative manager with 25 years of experience in the financial services and investment industries. At Edison is responsible for finance, reporting and portfolio company data analysis. He oversees the administration and portfolio management functions for the firm, manages exits for investments in public companies, and assists portfolio companies with financial management. Ross leads Edison's investment focus in technology-driven Business Services companies. He serves as director of four Edison portfolio companies. He is an Advisory Board Member of the Private Equity CFO Association and the New Jersey Technology Council CFO Board. Ross was a Certified Public Accountant.



Previously, Ross was Controller of two successful start-up businesses: American Express Leasing and ABB Financial Services. For six years, Ross was Vice President with the securities firm of Kidder, Peabody. His positions included Director of Financial Consulting and Director of Corporate Financial Management Information. He was also Senior Auditor with the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen.



Ross received his BA in Economics from Yale University, with honors and an MS/MBA from New York University.
