Ronny L. Cutshall's practice focuses in the estate planning, trust, probate and charitable area. He has over 30 years of experience in crafting estate plans for a wide variety of individuals in all walks of life, from young unmarried individuals to CEOs of companies listed on national exchanges; from elderly couples to small business owners. This includes drafting of wills, trusts and related documents and the creating of partnerships (both general and limited), limited liability companies and corporations.
Ronny emphasizes all types of tax planning including estate taxes, gift taxes and generation-skipping transfer taxes. His practice also includes planning for charitable giving and the creation of charitable entities including private foundation and support organizations. He represents and advises trustees and personal representatives. He also advises clients on post-mortem planning.
Ronny has been actively involved with Ballet West for several years, serving as the Chair of its Board of Trustees from 1995 to 1998. His activities in other civic affairs include membership on the Economic Development Corporation of Utah Board of Trustees, membership on the Board of the Valley Mental Health Foundation, membership on the Planned Giving Committee for the University of Utah Health Sciences and membership on the Planned Giving Board of Primary Children's Hospital. Ronny served as Jones Waldo’s Chairman of the Board for five years before his election as President of the firm in 1995, a position he held until 2003. He also served on the firm's Executive Committee for over twenty years.
Ronny was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, on December 4, 1946. He received his B.S. degree in 1969 and J.D. degree in 1972, both from the University of Utah. He also received a LL.M. in taxation from New York University in 1973. He was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1972 and the U.S. Tax Court in 1974. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. |
