Chief Operating Officer, Ron Johns oversees the overall operations of SGT. Johns, who joined SGT in 2002, is a Fortune 100 executive and entrepreneur who has founded four companies and held various management positions at Exxon, IBM, and EDS. Johns’ core competencies include Strategic Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Information Technology and Financial Management. Previously, Johns was an investor and Energy sector consultant to ICG Commerce, a leading eProcurement services company. At IBM Global Services, Johns served as Practice Executive, Process Industry (oil, chemicals, steel, & paper) and as the executive contact for Exxon. At IBM, he was also responsible for M&A offerings for the Energy industry. Johns served at MCISystemhouse as Managing Director for the outsourcing of Exxon's corporate infrastructure (later sold to EDS). He was also Sector Executive for the Chemical Industry. At EDS, Johns was Director, Energy Group, where he was responsible for the sales and delivery of consulting and outsourcing engagements. He also served as Vice President of a Bechtel-EDS joint venture in supply chain management. Johns spent 15 years with Exxon. Positions held included Plant Operations Manager, IT Division Manager, Planning Manager-Asia Pacific Region, Administrative Manager-Baytown Refinery/Chemical complex (Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, & IT), Product Marketing Manager, Engineering Group Leader, and Corporate Economist. Johns holds bachelors and masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. |
