Ronald Lau joined Recordant in February 2007. As an early investor in Recordant, Lau has worked with the company since its inception and is currently responsible for developing strategic alliances in addition to managing the company's legal affairs. Lau's experience includes more than 12 years in entrepreneurial, professional service and corporate roles throughout a number of industries. He is also a founder and managing director of Venture X Group, a management consulting firm with equity interests in a number of clients including Recordant. Venture X Group has facilitated the growth of more than 100 companies since 1998 and assisted its clients in securing over $100 million in institutional financing. Prior to co-founding Venture X Group, Lau served as general manager for one of BellSouth Entertainment's largest market and as a strategic planner for companies in the BellSouth Enterprises portfolio. Prior to BellSouth, Lau was a member of Ernst & Young's financial advisory services group where he managed projects supporting a large number of mergers and acquisitions in industries such as health care, biomedicine and manufacturing. Lau earned a Juris Doctor (admitted in Georgia) and MBA from Emory University, and a BS in Finance (magna cum laude) from the University of Connecticut. |
