Ronald J. Pabis is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, where his practice focuses on complex litigation matters including patent and trade secret cases as well as licensing and other technology-related disputes.
Ron has assisted and acted as trial counsel in jury trials and bench trials in courts throughout the country in a wide range of patent infringement and licensing matters. Ron also has significant experience in Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and in arbitrating intellectual property disputes. Ron’s litigation practice involves a wide range of technologies including medical devices, analog integrated circuitry, semiconductor processing, and computer related technologies.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ron was in private practice in Miami and Washington, D.C., where he concentrated his practice on complex multi-district litigation matters. He is the author or co-author of several publications relating to litigation strategy.
Ronald holds a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and the District of Columbia.

Trial counsel in an International Trade Commission Investigation involving analog integrated circuits
Counsel to anti-virus systems company in enforcement proceedings before the International Trade Commission
Counsel for hard disk drive manufacturer in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the Eastern District of Texas
