Biography
Ronald F. Halter, CPA and Partner, accepted the position of Director of Quality Control in April 1995, after having served as Assistant Director since 1991. As Director of Quality Control, Ron implements and oversees policies to ensure that the Firm meets the objectives of the quality-control standards established by the AICPA. His experience includes serving as In-Charge and Concurring Reviewer on various governmental engagements including participating in four audit cycles for the Illinois Department of Corrections, Robinson Correctional Center, in addition to auditing work for the Crawford Memorial Hospital Foundation. These engagements have provided Ron with experience in auditing a very diverse assortment of federal and state financial-assistance programs. In addition to audits, other areas of Ron's practice consist of tax planning and preparation of tax returns for various small businesses and individuals.
Ron graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1986, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987. He began his accounting career in 1986 with Kemper CPA Group LLP, and was made a partner in 1999.
