Ron and his wife Dianne have lived on their farm at Hayti, South Dakota, since 1975. They have three children; Michael is a teacher and coach at the Deuel School in Clear Lake, S.D., Eva is a teacher at Waubay School, and Kathryn employed at Print 'Em Now in Watertown. Ron is a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Castlewood. He has a cow-calf operation with feeders and grain farms, he is also a Seed dealer, is on the South Dakota Weed Commission and a member of Hamlin County Weed and Livestock Organizations, and has been a 4-H leader since 1980. Ron grew up on his family dairy farm near Waverly where his mother Clarice still lives and farms with two of his brothers and their families. He enjoys visiting with neighbors, playing cards, fishing and hunting in his spare time. |
