Rolf Fueger is a partner in the Global Tax Department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. He joined Milbank in 2004 as one of the three founding partners of Milbank's Munich office.
Rolf Fueger's practice covers all areas of corporate and international taxation. He has developed significant expertise in the private equity sector where he focuses on the development and implementation of innovative cross border acquisition and financing structures, post closing reorganisations and recapitalizations, exits including partial exits and the structuring of funds.
His recent transactions include the acquisition of SBS Group by ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, the participation of HVB Capital Partners AG in Premiere Star GmbH, the acquisition of H.C. Starck by Carlyle and Advent, the sale of Siteco Holding GmbH by J.P. Morgan Partners, the sale of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG to KKR and Permira, the acquisition of Cosmos by Nordwind Capital Partners, the LBO of betapharm Arzneimittel GmbH by 3i, of Dynos by HT Troplast, of Honsel Group by Carlyle, the LBO of Edscha AG by Carlyle, the sale of Klöckner Pentaplast by Cinven and J.P. Morgan Partners and the sale of HT Troplast by Carlyle and Advent.
Rolf Fueger studied law at the University of Augsburg. He was admitted to the German bar in 1990. He holds a doctorate degree of the University of Augsburg. He is admitted as a certified tax lawyer (Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht) in Germany. Before joining Milbank, Rolf Fueger was a partner for seven years at international law firms. He speaks German and English.
He lectures and publishes frequently on issues of domestic and international tax law. He is the co-editor of "International Tax Planning" ("Praxis Internationale Steuerplanung"). |
