Rodney M. Hudson is a partner in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. His practice primarily focuses on the defense of class actions and complex litigation. Rodney also advises clients on compliance with privacy and data security laws in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to joining Drinker Biddle, he taught at Georgetown University Law Center for two years and represented several national organizations before Congress and federal agencies on issues such as privacy and disability law.
Class Actions and Complex Litigation. Rodney's class action and litigation practice includes representing pharmaceutical and technology companies in nationwide and state class actions, and before state coordinated proceedings and in federal multi-district litigation. He regularly represents clients in commercial disputes, and in cases involving products liability, consumer fraud, false advertising, antitrust, unfair competition, trade libel and trade secret misappropriation.
Privacy and Data Security. Rodney has spoken nationally at numerous conferences on privacy, co-authored several publications on privacy and advises clients on how to develop a practical approach to managing the global patchwork of privacy and data security laws. He also has been recognized by pro bono clients for his work in the area of privacy.
In General. Rodney graduated with an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2001 and received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1996. He also holds a master's degree from Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and is a summa cum laude graduate of Campbell University, where he also served as student body president. Rodney is a former California Executive Fellow, New York State Assembly Graduate Law Scholar and North Carolina Legislative Studies Scholar. He is admitted to practice in California. |
