In his work with Manatt, he assists Brazilian and multinational companies with corporate and business transactions with a focus on Latin America. Prior to joining ManattJones, Mr. Alves served as International Legal Counsel for a small entertainment company in Los Angeles. In that role, he advised and participated in international transactions. Mr. Alves has more than ten years of experience as a corporate lawyer in Brazil, most recently with a leading Brazilian law firm as one of its managing lawyers in the international group. He has advised Brazilian and international clients on, among other things, corporate, mergers and acquisitions and antitrust matters under Brazilian law. Mr. Alves is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
