Description of Practice:
Robin is a Senior Counsel based in our San Diego office and practices in the real estate area, with a focus on land use and environmental compliance matters. She represents clients in their dealings with public agencies throughout Southern California including among others, the City and County of San Diego, the City of Chula Vista, National City, Oceanside and the California Coastal Commission. She has represented clients in several high profile land use transactions throughout San Diego, including successfully entitling thousands of residential units and hotel rooms and several million square feet of office, industrial and retail space.
Robin assists clients with all aspects of entitlements, including but not limited to, due diligence and regulatory compliance. She has also advised and assisted clients in processing discretionary permits and environmental review through various public agencies and has appeared before appointed and elected public officials on their behalf.
Robin is a registered lobbyist in San Diego, Oceanside and the San Diego Regional Airport Authority. She is also a member of the Urban Land Institute San Diego/Tijuana Executive Committee and Chair of the annual Trends Conference. Robin is also a member of the legislative committee of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
She has spoken at programs sponsored by various professional organizations and universities, including the San Diego County Bar Association, Lorman Education Services, National Business Institute, California Western School of Law, University of San Diego Law School and University of San Diego's Master of Science in Real Estate program, where she has addressed land use regulation, the Subdivision Map Act, the Coastal Act and CEQA compliance. She also participates as a Judge in the University of San Diego Law School's Moot Court competition.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Robin was an associate with the San Diego law office of Sullivan, Wertz, McDade & Wallace.
Educational History:
Robin received her B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Nevada in 1995. She obtained her J.D., cum laude, from the California Western School of Law in 2001. While there, she was on the Dean's List and was a member of Appellate Competition Team and the Pro-Bono Honors Program. |
